Anna Kheifetz
was born in the USSR. She graduated the Petersburg Art
College in 1995. She immigrated to Israel in 1995 and since 1996 lives
in Safed, where she paints and exhibits her work in her own gallery.
Anna paints landscapes and portraits, specialized in water color. She dose also books illustrations. She had few one-woman exhibitions in Russia. Her works are held in many private collections in Russia, Germany, Canada and other countries. The pictures presented here were painted both in Petersburg, Russia, and in Israel. |

I paint because I have no choice - I have to. Both my inner world and my outer one include numerous layers, touches both the infinite freedom and the unavoidable bonds - layers that some people call mystic, though I don't distinguish them from the physical realm. For me, painting is an inner drive - it is the only way I have to express my world, as much as it is a physical compulsion. My paintings express the synthesis of the infinite freedom and the unavoidable bonds, as well as messages and relationship between people. |
