Be your own Master
(6) "Men may recite the scriptures and sacrifice to the holy spirits, they
may perform rituals and worship deities - but, until a man wakes to
knowledge of his identity with the Atman, liberation can never be
obtained; no, not even at the end of many hundreds of Brahma's years.
(51) "Children may free their father from his debts, but no other person
can free a man from his bondage; he must do it himself.
(54) "A clear vision of the Reality may be obtained only through our own
eyes, when they have been opened by spiritual insight - never through the
eyes of some other seer. Through our own eyes we learn what the moon looks
like; how could we learn this through the eyes of others?"
Shankara
Vivekacudamani (The Crest Jewel of Discrimination)
"All knowledge, then, now, or in the future, is latent within self - the
true God-forces meet within, not without self, for why take it from
another source, when self may attain to the Throne itself!
"Truth is that which grows in the hearts of men. Turn within and let those
guiding forces of thine inner self be thy guide.
"That is the purpose for which it has entered - to give the more perfect
concept of the relationships of man to the Creator. For ye are gods - find
self - find what is thy purpose in the earth - for he indeed that knows
himself knows his God also. Seek Him in thine own heart - thy Creator as
thy Inner Self."
Edgar Cayce
a medley of excerpts from his readings
"You have the idea that only certain people hold the key to the Kingdom of
Happiness. No one holds it. No one has the authority to hold that key.
That key is your own self, and in the development and the purification and
in the incorruptibility of that self alone is the Kingdom of Eternity."
J. Krishnamurti
"The seeker is he who is in search of himself."
Sri Nisargadatta
"A Master is one who has the key for you to become a Master... to help you
realize that you are also a Master and that you and God are also One.
"Do not forget that you have your own goodness inside you ... do not
forget that you have God dwelling within your body ... do not forget that
you have Buddha within your heart."
Suma Ching Hai
"You have to grow inside out. None can teach you, none can make you
spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul."
Swami Vivekananda
"What you are is much greater than anything or anyone else you have ever
yearned for. God is manifest in you in a way that He is not manifest in
any other human being. Your face is unlike anyone else's, your soul is
unlike anyone else's, you are sufficient unto yourself; for within your
soul lies the greatest treasure of all - God."
Paramahansa Yogananda
"Work with the self and you will change the world. Love yourself and you
will change the world. Ask that you be shown the way.
"The First Cause, Prime Creator, God, is within all things. You are
operating with the will of First Cause. First Cause does not judge. First
Cause allows the journey to be explored. It is up to the individual
consciousness to move through experience in order to determine what would
be the greatest alignment of energy to facilitate growth.
"The best way to determine anything is to check the feeling center and see
how you feel about it. Your feeling center will always answer you with
clarity, if you begin to look there."
The Pleiadians
channeled by Barbara J. Marciniak
(15.8) "Have faith, my dearest, have faith. Don't let yourself be deluded
in this. You are yourself the Lord, whose property is knowledge - you are
beyond natural causation."
Astavakra Gita
"By oneself evil is done; by oneself one suffers; by oneself evil is left
undone; by oneself one is purified. Purity and impurity belong to oneself,
no one can purify another.
"You yourself must make an effort. The Tathagatas are only preachers.
"You should encourage yourself, yourself. You should restrain yourself,
yourself. When you are self-protected like that, you will live happily as
a bhikkhu.
"One is one's own guard. What other guard could one have? One is one's own
destiny. Therefore one should train oneself, like a merchant does a
thoroughbred horse."
The Dhammapada
"Be light unto yourselves.
Rely upon yourself; do not depend upon anyone else."

Discriminative Observation
(11) "Right action helps to purify the heart, but it does not give us
direct perception of the Reality. The Reality is attained through
discrimination, but not in the smallest degree even by ten million acts."
Shankara
Vivekacudamani (The Crest Jewel of Discrimination)
(4.24) "The man of discrimination ceases to regard the mind as Atman.
(4.25) "When the mind is bent on the practice of discrimination, it moves
toward liberation."
Patanjali - The Yoga Sutras
(3.8) "But he who does know how to discriminate,
Mindful, always pure,
He gains [indeed] that [highest] state
From which he's never born again."

Enlightenment
(5.17) "They, whose mind and intellect are absorbed in the Self, who
remain firmly attached with the Self, who have Self as their supreme goal,
whose sins (or impurities) have been destroyed by the knowledge, do not
take birth again.
(5.24) "One who finds happiness with the Self, who rejoices the Self
within, and who is illuminated by the Self-knowledge; such a yogi becomes
one with Brahman and attains supreme nirvana.
(6.08) "A yogi is called Self-realized who is satisfied with knowledge and
understanding of the Self, who is equanimous, who has control over the
(mind and) senses, and to whom a clod, a stone, and gold are the same.
(15.05) "Those who are free from pride and delusion, who have conquered
the evil of attachment, who are constantly dwelling in the Supreme Self
with all Kaama completely stilled, who are free from the dualities known
as pleasure and pain; such undeluded persons reach the eternal goal."

The Godhead
KINGS 1 19:11
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And,
behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the
mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was
not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in
the earthquake:
KINGS 1 19:12
And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and
after the fire a still small voice.
KINGS 1 19:13
And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his
mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And,
behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here,
Elijah?
"There was something formless and perfect
before the universe was born.
It is serene. Empty.
Solitary. Unchanging.
Infinite. Eternally present.
It is the mother of the universe.
For lack of a better name,
I call it the Tao.
"It flows through all things,
inside and outside, and returns
to the origin of all things.
"The Tao is great.
The universe is great.
Earth is great.
Man is great.
These are the four great powers.
"Man follows the earth.
Earth follows the universe.
The universe follows the Tao.
The Tao follows only itself."
Lao-Tzu -- Tao Te Ching
(2.20) "The Atma is neither born nor does it die at any time, nor having
been it will cease to exist again. It is unborn, eternal, permanent, and
primeval. The Atma is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.
(2.25) "The Atma is said to be unmanifest, unthinkable, and unchanging.
Knowing this Atma as such you should not grieve.
(13.31) "The imperishable Supreme Self, being beginningless and without
Gunas, though dwelling in the body (as Atma) neither does anything nor
gets tainted, O Arjuna."
The Bhagavad-Gita
(2.11) "Establish the truth in your mind, for the truth is the image of
the eternal; it portrays the immutable; it reveals the everlasting; the
truth gives unto mortals the boon of immortality."
The Gospel Of Buddha
(1.12) "Your real nature is one perfect, free, and actionless
consciousness, the all-pervading witness - unattached to anything,
desireless, at peace. It is illusion that you seem to be involved in any
other matter."
(7.4) "My true nature is not contained in objects, nor does any object
exist in it, for it is infinite and spotless. So it is unattached,
desireless and at peace, and as such I remain."
Astavakra Gita
(1) "Hari OM. In the beginning the Spirit was One and all this (universe)
was the Spirit; there was nought else that saw. The Spirit thought, "Lo, I
will make me worlds from out my being"."
Aitareya Upanishad
"The Prime Creator thought itself into a reflected state and moved so that
it could see itself so that it could prove to itself it existed. It
created outside of itself. And so the game has gone."

Human Brotherhood
2. 213. "(All) people are a single nation."
The Qur'an
"We appeal, as human beings, to human beings. Remember your humanity and
forget the rest. If you can do so, the way lies open for a new paradise;
If you cannot, there lies before you the risk of universal death."
Russell-Einstein Manifesto
"There is something higher than doctrine, deeper than dogma, more profound
than language. It is our affection for one another. That natural
compassion is the expression in us of the all-pervasive consciousness
which, in turn, is the reflection of what we call Absolute, God, Truth,
Reality. That is the common denominator, the religion which undergirds all
symbols, all books, all man-made and divinely inspired teachings."
Mahamuni -- George Bailin
"Service is the ultimate healing of the self. When one is involved in
service, it seems as if one is assisting others. When one is involved in
service, one is involved with the ultimate healing of one's own soul. One
is liberated, connected with the oneness of being.
"Look into the eyes of fellow humanity and see yourselves for you are
there. Bless each one with the knowing that you have and your awakenings
will be greater than you ever imagined."
The Pleiadians
channeled by Barbara J. Marciniak
"Go ye now, O bhikkhus, for the benefit of the many, for the welfare of
mankind, out of compassion for the world."
Buddha
(24.8 "We reach the immortal path only by continuous acts of kindness and
we perfect our souls by compassion and charity."

Meditation
(6) "Men may recite the scriptures and sacrifice to the holy spirits, they
may perform rituals and worship deities - but, until a man wakes to
knowledge of his identity with the Atman, liberation can never be
obtained; no, not even at the end of many hundreds of Brahma's years.
(63) "Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your
consciousness - until you have experienced Brahman - how can you find
liberation just by saying the word 'Brahman'? The result is merely a
noise.
(172) "As the wind creates the clouds and again destroys them, so this
bondage is the creation of the mind, and it is the mind also that destroys
that bondage.
(223) "This is the cause of liberation from the world - the consciousness,
the knowledge of the non-separateness of the self from the Supreme. By
this knowledge, one attains that Bliss Eternal."
Shankara
Vivekacudamani (The Crest Jewel of Discrimination)
"It is necessary to meditate to find out if there is any meaning to life.
And meditation is also laying the foundation of right conduct, right in
the sense of accurate, not according to an ideal, not according to a
pattern, not according to any formula, but action which takes place when
there is complete observation of that which is going on in oneself."
J. Krishnamurti
"You know, you all must get quiet every day. If you are not getting quiet
every day and moving into meditation/communication, you will only get so
much."
The Pleiadians
channeled by Barbara J. Marciniak
"Those who meditate with perseverance, constantly working hard at it, are
the wise who experience Nirvana, the ultimate freedom from chains.
"From meditation springs wisdom. From lack of meditation, loss of wisdom.
Recognizing these alternative roads of progress and decline, one should so
direct oneself so that one's wisdom will increase."
The Dhammapada

Mother Earth
(6.38) "And there is no animal that walks upon the earth nor a bird that
flies with its two wings but (they are) genera like yourselves; We have
not neglected anything in the Book, then to their Lord shall they be
gathered."
The Qur'an
"See the world as your self.
Have faith in the way things are.
Love the world as your self;
then you can care for all things."
Lao-Tzu -- Tao Te Ching
"Until we extend the circle of our compassion to all living things, we
will not ourselves find peace."
Dr. Albert Schweitzer
"Learn from the lowliest in the earth, in the birds, in the trees, in
the grass, in the flowers, in the bees -- likewise listen at the birds,
watch the blush of the rose, listen at the life rising in the tree.
"Stay close to nature, close to those activities in every form of
exercise that breathe it into thine own soul, as you would a sunset or a
morning sun rising. Appreciation of beauty in all of its forms - whether
the colors in the rainbow, or the Aurora Borealis - movements of the
serpent upon the rock, or the eagle in the air. All of these have a
definite motivating influence."
Edgar Cayce
a medley of excerpts from his readings
"Your earth is a sentient being. It is alive. It is conscious. Your
greatest step is to align yourself in communication and ask Mother Earth
to give you what you need and commit yourself to giving Mother Earth what
she needs.
"The earth is what makes your experience possible. You could not be here
if it were not for the earth. You do not yet love the earth enough and
acknowledge it enough.
"Honor Mother Earth. Whatever portion of Mother Earth that you occupy,
that you own, that you walk over, send loving thoughts. Align yourself
with the Earth, and the Earth energy and do what you feel is necessary for
your own personal growth. Again, the greatest work will be done with your
thoughts. Do not allow yourselves to buy into the idea that your Earth is
doomed. For we guarantee you that it is not.
"The Native Americans were seeded and taught by the star entities. They
were brought to earth by those from the stars. They were seeded
civilizations. They were taught how to live. They were taught how to
harmonize. The Native Americans represent a star-seeded civilization which
loved the earth, that implanted the earth with great energy.
"By awakening the Native American teachings, you come to the realization
that the earth is not something simply that you build upon and walk upon
and drive upon and take for granted. It is a living entity. It has
consciousness.
"You will marry it with your ancient heritage from the stars and unite the
earth and the cosmos. You will unite it in your physical being and you
will carry the consciousness of God. Through that you will birth a new
sphere of being, new man and new earth."
The Pleiadians

Religion
(59) "Study of the scriptures is fruitless as long as Brahman has not been
experienced. And when Brahman has been experienced, it is useless to read
the scriptures."
Shankara
Vivekacudamani (The Crest Jewel of Discrimination)
"Where can we go to find God if we cannot see Him in our own hearts and in
every living being."
Swami Vivekananda
"I maintain that Truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by
any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect.
"Religions have tried to offer the meaning of life - that is, organized,
propagandistic, ritualistic religions. But, in spite of 2,000 or 10,000
years, man has merely asserted certain principles, certain ideals, certain
conclusions, all verbal, superficial, non-realistic. So I think it becomes
very important to discover a meaning for oneself, if one is at all
serious.
"To the so-called religious to be sensitive is to sin, an evil reserved
for the worldly; to the religious the beautiful is temptation, to be
resisted; it's an evil distraction to be denied. Good works are not a
substitute for love, and without love all activity leads to sorrow, noble
or ignoble."
J. Krishnamurti
(23.10) "Let us, then, abandon the heresy of worshiping Isvara and of
praying to him; let us no longer lose ourselves in vain speculations of
profitless subtleties; let us surrender self and all selfishness, and as
all things are fixed by causation, let us practice good so that good may
result from our actions."

I Am That I Am
EXODUS 3:13
And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel,
and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you;
and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
EXODUS 3:14
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say
unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
I AM --
a channeled message
Q. Who are you?
A. "I AM."
Q. Is it my Higher Self? Is it a voice outside of myself?
A. "There is nothing outside of yourself, you are transparent to the
whole, everything outside of you is inside of you."
Q. I have guides and entities from the spirit world with whom I am
familiar. Why won't you tell me who you are?
A. "You are a radio transmitting and receiving. This is just another
channel of communication, be it A or B it is not the issue, it is another
hand or eye that is here to help you.
"For I dwell in every villain, and every bastard, or any other names you
have labeled or given to your thoughts, theories and restrictions. Know
that I have put them there to grow and develop, for I AM always
everywhere. When you come in contact with such men, or phenomena, remember
- I AM there too. I want you to know, I AM everything, for in every soul I
dwell, in every atom I exist, everything has a purpose in My plan. I AM
your Almighty, Son, Father, Husband, Wife, Child, and all-that-is. My
child, do not fear anything. I AM within and without, always guiding you
in silence, in admiration, in My infinite Love. My kingdom is yours
always, My Love is your torch in the dark. I AM the cool breeze on a hot
summer's day, I AM your fire within. Trust and Faith is
all I ask of you - for all the rest stems from it. Do as I do - for We are
one forever. Bless Me every moment of your existence, for I do it all the
time. Be with Me, for I can be as lonely as you are. I need you.
"Great preparations are on the way, for you all need to welcome Us. Join
forces, be strong, do not let go of each other. The future is bright and
full of happiness. Reason will get you nowhere. Mount up for there you can
breath. Sing a song of praise, for Hallelujah, We are coming to be with
you. Join together like brothers and sisters, unite like one big family,
the family of man. Do not disregard the notes We are sending you, make
contact with Us, for in joined force We can overcome. Prepare your souls
for the days to come, for We know you are our brothers and sisters.
Welcome Us, We are the white force. Bless you all, may peace dwell in your
hearts. You are the builders of a new future, of a new beginning, of
the New Age.
"Do not attempt to know before you know
And even when you know temper the desire to know.
"Calm your heart and clear your spirit and everything is yours.
"The image is but a shadow,
The truth is but a reflection of the whole,
The whole cannot be told,
Do not attempt to know,
Be content with what you get,
Do the best you can.
"In the midst of the storm there is the sun,
In the midst of the high tide there is the rainbow,
Muddy waters become golden daffodils,
Bitter roots become the fruit of the Gods.
"And ye shall go high and straight in the midst of all the darkness, and
bring the light wherever you go, and ye shall believe in Me to give you
life, full of miracles and pleasure, because you are My beloved child,
always and forever more. Rise My child, embrace life and bring it close to
your heart, that I have spoken to you and lifted you up from your misery.
Blessed be your soul.
"In silence and meditation, in clearing out your emotions there is bliss.
"Strength of character may become an obstacle, it is an illusion, an
optical metaphor.
"Align to Us, for We can pave the way, by and by, for you to see the
light.
"Be brave, give up the illusion of yesterday's news, let the walls of
Jericho fall, open your heart to the real freedom, let your soul fly and
soar to the heights, keep in mind the unfolding of the universe, in all
its glory and might, stay still and watch, be alert to the smallest
changes, for in them lies the very coming days. Prepare your hearts for
the journey, let go of extra luggage.
"Walk through the desert of your fears until you come to the oasis of your
soul."
Channeled by Edith Kimhy
